In a significant move to enhance vocational education in Greece, EHL and the Metropolitan-AKMI Educational Group are proud to announce the expansion of their successful partnership. Starting in the academic year 2024-25, students in Northern Greece, specifically in Thessaloniki, will have the opportunity to enroll in EHL's prestigious VET (Vocational Education and Training) programs.

This announcement comes after five years of fruitful collaboration between EHL and the Metropolitan-AKMI Educational Group, the largest educational group in Greece. The expansion to Thessaloniki, the group's second-largest regional campus, marks a significant step in their ongoing internationalization strategy and commitment to providing top-tier hospitality and gastronomy education.

AKMI Hospitality and Gastronomy students will now benefit from work-based learning opportunities through EHL’s renowned vocational program portfolio. As the world’s #1 Hospitality Business School, EHL’s programs are designed to equip students with the skills needed to excel in the hospitality industry.

This strategic development not only strengthens the partnership between AKMI and EHL, but also reinforces AKMI's leading position in gastronomy and hospitality education in Greece. It underscores the group’s dedication to maintaining its prominence in vocational training and further enriches its educational offerings.

To celebrate this expansion, a special media event was held on Tuesday, July 9th, at the AKMI premises in Thessaloniki. The event featured top management from Akmi and Metropolitan College, special guests from local authorities, industry experts, and a distinguished representative from EHL, Mr. André Mack.

This expansion is a testament to the unwavering commitment of both EHL and AKMI to provide world-class education and to develop the next generation of hospitality leaders. With this new chapter, students in Thessaloniki are set to embark on a journey of excellence in hospitality education.
