King Abdulaziz University – Faculty of Tourism (KAUFT), Jeddah – was established based on decision # 14/45/1428, issued by the council of higher education at its forty fifth-board meeting held on 18/01/1428 H.

Through the support and active involvement of KAU, KAUFT has significantly enhanced its reputation and perception in the Kingdom. This positive image is creating potential opportunities for KAUFT’s growth.

KAUFT’s mission is the driving force of its management processes. The mission encompasses both the Hospitality program and the recently introduced programs. It provides a clear statement of the Faculty’s purpose and critical success factors, thus enabling diverse stakeholder groups to work together effectively towards a common goal. The vision provides the inspiration and directional guidance of what the Faculty wishes to be, and the values identify the behavioral norms and play an important role in establishing and sustaining the unique culture for the Faculty.​​​​​​​ KAUFT has consistently focused its efforts on attracting and retaining faculty members who are well qualified academically and professionally and who have a strong commitment to work effectively with the students to ensure their professional and personal growth. The Faculty of Tourism has excellent teaching facilities equipped with technology that is updated frequently. The Hospitality program is consulted by the Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL) which is the highest level of accreditation possible for Hospitality Schools around the World.
